Job Description

GPAC has partnered with a growing family-owned agronomic company that is looking for a Retail Sales Agronomist with Crop advising and retail sales experience. Crops you would be advising on include citrus, almonds, pistachios, cotton, corn and more.

Key Responsibilities:

Make fertilizer, chemical and seed recommendations to growers and farmers
You will work alongside other agronomists to carry out daily responsibilities
Facilitate positive long-term relationships with customers to create and promote long-term repeat business
Prepare sales presentations, contracts and proposals to ensure successful transactions
Forecast supply requirements by month and annual basis
Perform a variety of agronomic duties independently
Keep up to date on all agronomy services and technology.

Qualifications:

* A minimum of 3 years' experience in retail agronomy sales in chemicals, fertilizer, and seed.
* A bachelor's degree or higher in an agricultural related field
* Must have a current CCA and PCA
* Vast knowledge of crop production
* Proven leadership, decision-making, and communication skills
* Self-motivated, ability to work independently and with a team
* Must currently reside in the region and have a valid U.S. driver's license
