POSITION OVERVIEW
Our client is seeking a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to provide strategic financial leadership across hospital and multispecialty physician group operations.
This role will lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, reimbursement analysis, payer analytics, and performance reporting while serving as a key financial partner to the CFO, executive leadership, and operational teams .
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and reporting.
• Develop financial models supporting strategic and operational decisions.
• Partner with executives, clinical departments, and operational leaders on financial strategy.
• Analyze financial and operational performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead reimbursement modeling, payer analytics, managed care evaluation, and revenue optimization .
• Evaluate hospital and physician group costs, reimbursement trends, and financial performance.
• Prepare financial analyses and presentations for executive and board-level discussions.
• Serve as a key advisor to the CFO and executive leadership.
• Leverage ERP, budgeting, decision-support, and analytics systems to improve reporting.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
• 7–10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
• 2–3+ years of hospital, health system, or multispecialty physician financial experience strongly preferred.
• Master's degree in Finance or Accounting required.
• Advanced financial modeling, analysis, and data analytics skills.
• Strong knowledge of hospital financial operations and healthcare reimbursement.
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer reimbursement .
• Experience with reimbursement modeling, payer analytics, and managed care evaluation.
• Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations for executives.
• Experience with ERP, budgeting/forecasting, and financial decision-support systems.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
• Maryland hospital or healthcare financial experience.
• Familiarity with HSCRC and Global Budget Revenue (GBR) .
• Chargemaster and/or physician fee schedule management.
• CPA, CFA, or HFMA certification.
• Lean Six Sigma or structured performance improvement experience.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• $180,000–$200,000+ annual salary.
