Job Title: Manufacturing Associate

Position Summary

We are seeking motivated Manufacturing Associates to support production, assembly, material handling, and packaging operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for candidates with prior manufacturing, assembly, production, or general labor experience who enjoy hands-on work, using tools, and contributing to a team-oriented workplace. Successful candidates will play a key role in ensuring products are built safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Assembly

• Assist in various stages of the manufacturing and assembly process.
• Assemble components and products according to production requirements.
• Follow blueprints, work instructions, and production specifications.
• Support production teams in meeting daily output and quality goals.
• Perform repetitive assembly tasks while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure products meet established quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Tool Operation

• Safely operate hand tools and power tools during production and assembly activities.
• Use measuring and assembly tools to complete assigned tasks.
• Inspect tools and equipment before use and report any issues.
• Follow all safety procedures when operating manufacturing equipment.

Material Handling

• Prepare, organize, and stage raw materials for production.
• Load and unload materials, parts, and finished products.
• Transport materials between workstations and production areas.
• Ensure materials are available to maintain continuous production flow.
• Lift, carry, move, and position materials safely according to company guidelines.

Production Line Support

• Monitor production lines to ensure efficient operation.
• Identify and report production delays, equipment concerns, and quality issues.
• Assist in maintaining workflow and productivity targets.
• Support team members across multiple production areas as needed.

Packaging & Shipping

• Package finished products according to customer and company specifications.
• Inspect products prior to packaging to ensure quality standards are met.
• Label, organize, and prepare products for shipment.
• Maintain accuracy in packaging and shipping preparation processes.

Equipment Maintenance

• Clean equipment, machinery, and workstations regularly.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance, including lubrication when required.
• Report mechanical problems or maintenance needs to supervisors.
• Help ensure equipment remains safe and operational.

Housekeeping & Safety

• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from hazards.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when applicable.
• Maintain compliance with workplace safety and quality standards.
• Participate in safety meetings and training activities.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Previous experience in:
  • Manufacturing
  • Production
  • Assembly
  • General Labor
  • Industrial Environments
• Prior manufacturing or industrial experience is required.

Skills

• Experience using hand tools in a production or assembly setting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, or work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and move materials safely on a regular basis.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and production equipment.

Schedule & Shift Options

Choose the shift that best fits your schedule:

1st Shift

• Monday – Friday
• 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

2nd Shift

• Monday – Friday
• 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

3rd Shift

• Sunday – Thursday / Monday – Friday (based on department)
• 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Overtime

• Optional overtime available on Saturdays.
• Additional overtime opportunities may be available based on production needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Farmington, CT.

The pay range for this position is $18.90 - $18.90/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Farmington,CT.
