A large seasonal food-processing facility is seeking an Agricultural Mechanic to maintain and repair harvesting and field equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills and be comfortable performing both field and shop repairs.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain agricultural and harvesting equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, wiring, sensors, and control issues.
Perform preventive maintenance, rebuilds, overhauls, and equipment preparation.
Respond to field breakdowns and minimize equipment downtime.
Read service manuals, schematics, and parts diagrams.
Follow safety, LOTO, and company procedures.
Requirements:
Hands-on experience with agricultural, heavy, construction, diesel, truck, or mobile equipment .
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
Experience with hydraulics and electrical diagnostics .
Ability to work independently, outdoors, and in a fast-paced seasonal environment.
Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and seasonal rotating schedules .
Preferred: Farm/agriculture background, dealership or field-service experience, welding/fabrication skills, and experience with John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, AGCO, or similar equipment.
